Split their allowance into Pots
To make saving a little bit easier, you can now choose to split allowance into the extra Pots that you’ve added. You can choose what % goes to different Pots when allowance gets delivered, ensuring they are working towards reaching their saving goals! To set a Split Allowance for your child (or update the existing splits):
NOTE: Split Allowance requires your child to have an automatic allowance set. You can set your child a regular allowance from their settings. Learn how here!
Set interest rates on Pots
Now Interest isn’t just limited to the Save pot, you can apply an interest rate to all your added pots. Choose what % your child can earn for money held in their pot, and it gets paid out on the 1st of each month. Interest rates are a premium feature unlocked with Rooster PLUS or Rooster Card subscription. If you already have a premium subscription, you will be asked if you’d like to add an interest rate when creating a Pot. Alternatively, you can apply an interest rate to the Pot from its Pot settings. Just follow the steps here:
Create Reward Pots
Aimed at our younger kiddos, the Reward Pot lets you set up a sticker chart to track actions or behaviours that can earn them a reward! Choose how many stickers earn them their reward, and make it fun with a selection of stickers to choose from. To add a Reward Pot:
Interest rate and the Reward Pot are premium features and can be unlocked with a Rooster PLUS or Rooster Card subscription.
We’d love to see how you and your kids use the new Pots! Share your child’s new dashboard with us on Instagram or Twitter, or send us a picture by tapping ‘Contact us’ in the app! If you have any questions or feedback, do let us know as well!
